Krissie: All About You

KRISSIENUN Off to the physical therapist tomorrow morning so I’m getting this ready ahead of time. Life continues to be … interesting.
I think I’ll go take a trank and then come back tomorrow and whine. Everybody needs to whine sometimes.

So, I’m going to make this week better by writing. Actually last week was pretty good because I decided to be more positive and not so frightened of the future. And I’m keeping that focus. And I did work hard.

So, just gotta keep working.

What’s on your agenda?

I’m working on the dinosaur quilt I’m making for my grandson Jonathan. The embroidery is done and I’ve cut out the fabric strips, so now it’s time to start some actual sewing. I’ve poked along on this for a long time, but now I’m getting antsy to see it come together.

And today I’m planning on getting a pedicure, the first I’ve had since before the holidays. Other than that, just trying to stick to my diet and get the weight loss going again. (I’ve been plateaued since October.) So, all in all, a pretty quiet week.

  2. Well, this morning I have a phone call with a place I sent my resume to last week. That’s huge. And I hope to hear more about another job that a recruiter submitted me for last week. So two huge things. And today’s phone call propelled me out of bed the earliest I’ve been up for weeks.

As for the rest of the week: job hunt, work on the novel (I have some great ideas for the opening scene now that pulls in more threads), and move my body. With a lovely reward of getting together with my girlfriends next weekend!

  3. Good luck, Skye! Hope the physio gets the kinks out, Krissie.

I’m running around doing last minute prep for the book release party on Wed. I’d been given an additional chore (besides buying the booze) to provide some kind of cookies or sweets. I thought about making lamingtons, an Aussie confection mentioned in the book, but figured that would be biting off more than I could chew. Besides, our temps are rising. We could be at 90 degrees at 4pm. So, nothing with chocolate. I found some Aussie ginger cookies that are delicious. I hope they last. ; )

Also, I have to attend a marketing workshop tomorrow for the 40+ author booksigning on April 2nd. Well, I don’t have to attend, but it’s being given by a very savvy lady and I feel it’s in my best interest to attend. Busy week!

I must prepare a webinar I am to give in 2 weeks. Got a start on it today.

I also decided to refocus on eating healthy and exercising. I should’ve waited these next two weeks until after the webinar was done and given, so I might fail at this, but I won’t chastise myself if I do.

Revel in the above freezing temps! We were in the 40’s today with SUNSHINE !!!
