I had a lot of time entirely to myself this week and realized how much the emotional difficulties of family members has been impacting my mood. Depression by proxy.

    1) I found a guided meditation app I really like (Headspace) so am making meditation part of the start of my day. It’s my reward for doing my PT exercises.
    2) My bestie and her spouse are coming over for brunch on the way home from a family reunion, so yay.
    3) Fabulous walk on the beach yesterday. Need to do that every weekend!

  3. Jessie says:

Rough week. The floor guy did a mediocre job on the last coat on my new hardwood floor and we have to talk with the contractor about it. The next load of trim has arrived for me to refinish and there is a ton of it. My cat has jaundice and probably hepatitis and maybe something even more serious. But I started his steroid treatment and yesterday for the first time in a week, he let me hold him on my lap and he purred. So the depression is gone today.

I could detail the plumage on this week’s chicken, thank heaven’s I’m at one remove. As for the elusive bluebird:

Reconnecting with my life after a bout of travel, three trips. I so do appreciate the comfort of a schedule. (I also like travel.)

Richard II on the outdoor Old Globe Stage. Actors were great. What made the play was the simple, so apt and elegant staging. Bring on the director for a curtain call!

    Todd Rundgren’s “Tin Foil Hat.”

Bonus: Home-made pizza waits for me: olive oil, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, garlic, shallots, a shower of feta cheese.
